Using the visual language of sacred art, this series brings a sense of awe, wonder, and devotion to the lives and struggles of animals in our landscape.

Sanctuary

For this collection, I was inspired by the fading light of autumn and winter. Working in ink on darkened papers creates emphatically dark landscapes, that are broken up by points of light.

The finished works are an invitation to find sanctuary behind well-lit windows, from the cold and dark.

Gloria Mundi

GLORIA MUNDI is an ongoing collection started in 2020. By re-imagining wildlife on a larger scale, the regularly ignored or side-lined becomes inescapable. Enlarged, unassailable, and maybe threatening, the animals central in these works invite the viewer to re-evaluate our relation with our environment.
